1. Introduction
Budget Manager is a personal finance tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using Budget Manager, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
a) Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your:
- Name
- Email address
- Profile photo URL
This is used solely to identify your account and personalize your experience.
b) Financial Data You Enter
- Expense amounts, dates, notes, and categories
- Budget amounts per category
- Payment modes (Cash, UPI, Card, etc.)
This data is entered by you and stored locally on your device and synced to your private Firebase Firestore database.
c) Device Information
We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or hardware information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to:
- Authenticate your identity via Google Sign-In
- Store and sync your financial data across your devices
- Display your expenses, budgets, and reports within the app
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any third-party purposes.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Your data is stored locally on your device using SQLite
- Data is synced to a private Firebase Firestore database owned and managed by CodeHabit under your unique user ID
- Only you can access your own data — enforced by Firebase Security Rules
- No employee or third party has access to your personal financial data
- App lock with biometric authentication (Face ID / fingerprint) is available for additional local security
5. Third-Party Services
Budget Manager uses the following services:

Firebase infrastructure is provided by Google. CodeHabit operates the Firebase project and does not share your data with any external parties.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete all your data and account at any time from the Profile screen inside the app. This action is irreversible.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data (visible within the app)
- Delete your data and account at any time via Profile → Delete Account
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
